OLD FRIENDS

The heaven that blessed them,
they miss that feeling endeared,
all their memories together,
make 'em feel helpless in the end.

Sometimes angered with stupidity,
others a butterfly in the tummy,
how delighted they were yesterday,
and today the room gets empty.

Shared everything simply,
for more than a cause, through the eyes,
and now all they share is,
a blank hello and formal goodbyes.

Never imagined the sour part,
sugar so strong which tied,
what was feared never,
eats 'em away from the inside.

The roads to union,
driven by the fate,
disregarded by the time deceitful,
separated by their only traits.

Yes, they are old friends,
once traveled along, now far away,
lost in the roads different,
missing their good old yesterdays..
