Let me make a wish tonight,
n' I'll be on my own, I'll be alright,
a wish to the girl standing in blue,
a girl like the music flowing out of a flute.
Imprinted is the day I saw you first,
those silky, dark, summerwined eyes,
all I could do was to look upon and sigh.
Days passed and so did years silently,
you remained all radiant if I remember correctly,
silently you were in here all over my brain,
Oh, I was too shy to speak, I was all vain.
But then the fate turned its route around,
a chance I grabbed or I was endowed,
we became friends overnight,
how cheerful I was, like a child in a merry-go-round.
A snese of pleasant ease in such a way,
like a bright sunny morning in the month of May,
cherished your every smile to the core inside,
kept falling for you, never imagined if ever in this life.
And so is the wish of this everyday bloke not so bright,
to let you make the queen of his heart tonight,
I'll leave after the supper is over,
all I need is a  sign,
and I'll be just fine, I'll be alright.
